Introduction
Chronic low back pain (CLBP) afflicts millions worldwide and is one of the most common causes of long-term disability and medical consultations in the United States. Despite its prevalence, effective treatment remains a challenge. Many individuals with CLBP find little relief from conventional treatments, including medications and physical therapy alone. The quest for alternative therapies has led researchers to investigate mind-body interventions, particularly mindfulness-based approaches, which have shown promise but remain underutilized in routine care. This article explores recent clinical trial evidence that evaluates a novel, scalable mindfulness-based group medical visit program delivered via telehealth to patients with CLBP.
