Optimizing Postpartum Care: Evaluating High-Dose Oxytocin Infusion to Reduce Blood Loss After Vaginal Delivery
A quality-improvement study shows that higher prophylactic oxytocin infusion rates after vaginal birth significantly reduce postpartum blood loss and decrease the need for additional uterotonic medications, without increasing transfusion or hemorrhage rates.
