This study introduces a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)-derived disposition index (DICGM) that accurately estimates beta cell function in individuals with islet autoimmunity who do not require insulin. The DICGM correlates strongly with the gold-standard oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) disposition index (DIMM) and predicts clinically relevant glycemic deterioration one year later, providing a less invasive monitoring alternative.
