SGLT2 Inhibitors Do Not Increase Amputation Risk in Diabetic Foot Ulcer: Study Reveals Significant Mortality Benefit

A retrospective study of 452 diabetic foot ulcer patients found that SGLT2 inhibitor use was not associated with increased amputation risk at 1 year and was linked to significantly lower mortality (1.1% vs 9.2%) and faster wound healing (44 days shorter).
