Aficamten’s Impact on Cardiac Function and Structure in Symptomatic Nonobstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy: Insights from ACACIA-HCM Trial

• Aficamten improves diastolic function and alters left ventricular volumes in symptomatic nonobstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).
• Significant reductions in left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and improvements in echocardiographic diastolic parameters were observed by week 36 and sustained through up to 72 weeks.
• Therapeutic benefits of aficamten extend beyond LV outflow tract obstruction reduction, addressing intrinsic myocardial dysfunction.
• Early and dose-dependent beneficial effects on cardiac structure and function were evident even within two weeks of treatment titration.
