This multicenter randomized clinical trial demonstrates that fiber-based near-infrared autofluorescence (NIRAF) enhances intraoperative parathyroid gland identification during thyroidectomy and bilateral parathyroidectomy without increasing hypoparathyroidism rates or operative time.
