Rethinking Hemodynamics in Aortic Stenosis: The Paradoxical Normal-Flow, Low-Ejection Fraction Phenotype and Post-TAVI Outcomes
A substudy of the COMPARE-TAVI 1 trial identifies a unique NF-LEF phenotype in 10.7% of aortic stenosis patients. Despite reduced LVEF, these patients maintain normal flow through eccentric remodeling and achieve clinical improvements post-TAVI comparable to those with preserved ejection fractions.
