A Swedish nationwide cohort (n≈2.1M) found small but measurable variation in breast cancer risk by hormonal contraceptive formulation—higher with desogestrel/etonogestrel products and lower with levonorgestrel-containing devices; absolute excess risk remains small in women <50 years.
